Support Groups; supporting our community by our community.
The Aurora Health and Wellness Center offers community support groups where people come together to receive education, share stories, and forge new friendships. These groups provide a space where individuals can feel open to get anything off their chest, regardless of the situation.
It isn’t uncommon for individuals going through a difficult time in their life to feel alone. It is also not unusual for caregivers to feel isolated and burned out. We are not meant to be alone in our walk through life. The Aurora Health and Wellness Center provides these support groups to be sure no one is truly alone. We’re all about community and support, so if you need some help, feel free to join a support group.
Support groups are open to anyone, but they are also focused on certain topics. It is important to do some research to find the right one for you and what you are going through.
Finding the right support group can be helpful. You should feel comfortable in the group, so don’t be discouraged if you feel as if one or the other isn’t working well for you.
Lean on friends, old and new, to walk through this time in your life with you.
Support groups are offered to the community (membership is not required) free of charge.
