Member Code of Conduct

The Aurora Health & Wellness Center is committed to providing our members the opportunity to work out regardless of age or ability in an environment that promotes respect, safety, and compassion from our employees and members. All members and guests attending an event or utilizing the Center’s facilities or grounds must adhere to all rules and policies of The Aurora Health & Wellness Center and are expected to act in a safe, courteous, and respectful manner at all times.

The Aurora Health and Wellness Center is not responsible for personal injury or loss of personal property for anyone using facilities provided by The Aurora Health and wellness.

The Aurora Wellness Center Code of Conduct

Updated for COVID Protocol

  • Check in to front desk upon arrival
  • Membership cards are for use by individual registered members only and are not transferrable
  • All members are expected to clean/sanitize equipment before and after use
  • Maintain safe 6 feet of social distancing
  • Staying home when sick. Do not enter if you have a temperature, cough, sore throat, or signs of any respiratory illness
  • Practicing proper hand hygiene
  • Utilize hand sanitizer throughout the building often

Facility Rules Prohibit

  • Possession of guns, knives or other weapons
  • Threatening to strike employees, members or guests
  • Physical contact with another person in an angry, aggressive, or threatening way
  • Foul, profane or abusive language
  • Theft or behavior that results in the destruction or loss of property
  • Loitering within or on the grounds
  • Photography and filming within the facility or grounds on phones, cameras or any other devices is strictly prohibited without express permission from management
  • Photography and videos like FaceTime are not permitted in the locker rooms or bathrooms
  • Treat all equipment with care. Be mindful of the offices on lower levels and do not drop weight on the floor as it can be damaging to the weights and flooring
  • Return all plates, barbells, dumbbells, medicine balls, floor mats, skipping ropes and any other equipment owned by The Aurora Health and Wellness to their correct storage areas immediately after use

Respect for the Facility and Others

  • Pay member dues on time and update credit card and address changes
  • Keep scheduled appointments with trainers and coaches. Give appropriate cancellation time
  • Treat all equipment with care. Be mindful of the offices on lower levels and do not drop weights on the floor as it can be damaging to the weights and flooring
  • Return all plates, barbells, dumbbells, medicine balls, floor mats, skipping ropes and any other equipment to their correct storage areas immediately after use
  • Wear appropriate gym attire including closed-toe shoes, no sandals or flip-flops on gym floor
  • Respect the rights of other people to use this facility and share the use of the equipment where possible. Users must stick to a 30-minute time limit on cardio machines during peak times
  • If you are not an experienced weights user then you should make an appointment for a
  • complimentary introductory session. Ensure that spotters are used where appropriate
  • Staff are available to help
  • Respect the facilities and equipment of the Aurora Health and Wellness and report problems to staff immediately
  • Classes are subject to cancellation or change at short notice. It is the responsibility of member to confirm class times by checking our Facebook page and website or calling the front desk at 816-463-8930
  • Valuables are left unattended at the Member’s own risk. The Aurora Health and Wellness is not responsible for lost/stolen items.
  • Please be cautious when leaving bags in the bathrooms as they are not securely monitored
  • Feedback/complaints should be submitted in writing addressed to the Gym Manager in person or via email at Aurora@norterre.org
